Georgetown Cupcake is opening up a new location this fall in Bethesda Row! Image from Georgetown Cupcake.

Escort cards should be displayed in alphabetical order by last name. That makes it easy for guests to find their card. If you were to place the cards in order by table number, guests will take forever to find their card because the only thing they know is their name. (They don’t know their table number, hence the reason for the escort card in the first place.)
So, when you have finished your seating assignments and are packing the cards for your wedding planner, help us out and make sure they are in order by last name!
Carine brought some beautiful gowns (and a beautiful model) to the Mervis event we did two weekends ago. Every time the model changed, I found myself loving the latest dress even more so than the one before. Carine really has a stunning selection of gowns and accessories. Images from Rodney Bailey.

The “Garden of Good and Evil” event was perfectly orchestrated with food, cocktails and decor appropriate to each side of the garden. Visit this link below to view photos taken by Freed.

Last month I attended an event hosted by Occasions at a new venue, The American Pharmaceutical Building. While they are not allowing weddings yet, word is they soon will be. Regardless, the view of the city is amazing.
The Urban Market Tasting was a chance for the Occasions’ chefs to work with local farmers. Not only was the menu interactive and fun, but it was AMAZING! Tom Van Veen documented the whole evening and did a great job, as always!
