Yesterday I visited with Laure from the Willard.  She invited me in to see the property and meet with her, as I have never worked with her before.  If you are planning on having a wedding at the Willard for 200 guests or less, she is the person to get in touch with.

We started off with a tour of the beautiful property. I’ve been to the hotel many times before, but it’s always great seeing it privately so you can brainstorm ideas for clients.  The most commonly used spaces used for private events are the Crystal Room and the Willard Ballroom.  As you can see, they are stunning!   Images from Willard Intercontinental.

A while ago one of my readers asked for a referral for an engagement photographer. Ashley and Zach are not getting married in DC, however they wanted to have their photos taken in this area. I promptly referred her to Deb Lindsey. She is a wonderful photographer, and I know from previous clients Lindsay and Chris, that she does engagement photos REALLY well.

I love how they turned out – thank you Ashley for sharing. Aren’t they such a beautiful couple?!  Image from Deb Lindsey.

On Tuesday night, we hosted Experience the Corcoran.  It was a FABULOUS event!  The turn out was great and the brides were hungry for vendors.  For some detail and set up photos, check out the slideshow Rodney Bailey put together.  I am really looking forward to doing this again!  Team Bash – Cara, Melissa, Terri and Katie (l-r).

Two weeks ago I attended the ISES Table Top Competition, held at the House of SwedenRidgewell’s provided great food and yummy blackberry basil mojitos.  Some of the tables were just so creative and it was a lot of fun seeing all the ideas vendors came up with.  Congratulations to Fandango for winning!  Image from BizBash.

Tec Petaja shot these photos of Penelope and William who were married in Franklin, TN. I lived in Nashville after graduating for six months while my husband (then boyfriend) managed a Congressional campaign. If I were only doing weddings then…  Images from Tec Petaja.

On Thursday June 25th, from 5pm-8pm, Betsy Robinson’s will host a primping and pampering party to honor bridesmaids.  Watters & Watters is sponsoring this event and will also showcase bridesmaid dresses.  Make sure to RSVP!  Image from Betsy Robinson’s Bridal.

I love the layers of tulle on the bride’s dress! The mismatched yet coordinating bridesmaids dresses are equally as cool.  Image from 100 Layer Cake.

Carine’s Bridal Atelier is holding a sample sale this Sunday June 21 from 9a-3p.  If you have narrowed down dress designers, this is a great opportunity for you to buy that dream dress.  Image from Carine’s Bridal Atelier.

A few weeks back, I attended the W preview party.  The event was a chance to meet the W sales and catering staff, enjoy wonderful food and music and see renderings of the new space. I can not wait to see the hotel once it’s open -  I already have plans for cocktails on the roof the same week!  Click here to view a quick slide show of the event, photographed by Michael Bennett Kress & Associates.

Hitched is having a huge sample sale June 18 from 5-8p. Make sure to visit Hitched at Experience the Corcoran as well.  Image from Hitched.
