We worked with PoshBooth this weekend at our Meridian wedding.  Neil McKinnon is the owner and is really wonderful to work with. Plus, they have a great final product!  Image from PoshBooth.

I wish I was at this event.  Check out the fantastic photography documented by Elan Artists for Martha Stewart Weddings’ 15th Anniversary Party.

Remember to have fun on your wedding day! Relax, let go and let your vendors do their job. I really make it a point for my clients to be a guest at their own wedding and not have to worry about anything. If you are stressed and/or not having a good time, your guests will pick up on it and likely not enjoy themselves either. The day comes once in a lifetime so live it as such!

Last Thursday I attended Longview’s grand opening. I saw this place pre-construction and was excited about it then. Now, I’m even MORE excited about it. It has a very New York City, lofty feel and it is way cool.  The space has an exposed ceiling and brick walls plus unfinished floors. My mind is already turning with all sorts of design ideas. Luckily, I have a few clients are considering the space.  Images from Rodney Bailey.

Ladies, prepare yourself for an event unlike anything DC has ever seen before.  On February 5, 2010 from 5-10p, Engaged! takes the DC area by storm.  Visit five of DC’s premier hotels and at each one, you’ll find one of each vendor type (photographer, planner, florist, etc).  The participating hotels are the St. Regis, Hay-ADams, Four Seasons, Willard and Ritz-Carlton DC.  Reston Limo will transfer guests to and from each hotel.  Valuable discounts will be offered as well as cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and fun. Save the date and hope to see you there!

By now I’m sure you have seen images of Jessica Claire’s wedding. Not only did she look amazing (and Jeff), but the vintage meets rustic details were just spectacular! Here are some of my favorites.  Images from Style Me Pretty.

If you are still looking for a wedding dress, then head over to Hannelore’s October 28-29 for their blowout bridal sale.  Select sample gowns are in perfect condition and range in cost from $500-$1000.  Image from Hannelore’s.

Georgetown Cupcake is opening up a new location this fall in Bethesda Row!  Image from Georgetown Cupcake.

Escort cards should be displayed in alphabetical order by last name. That makes it easy for guests to find their card. If you were to place the cards in order by table number, guests will take forever to find their card because the only thing they know is their name. (They don’t know their table number, hence the reason for the escort card in the first place.)

So, when you have finished your seating assignments and are packing the cards for your wedding planner, help us out and make sure they are in order by last name!

Carine brought some beautiful gowns (and a beautiful model) to the Mervis event we did two weekends ago. Every time the model changed, I found myself loving the latest dress even more so than the one before.  Carine really has a stunning selection of gowns and accessories.  Images from Rodney Bailey.
